POSITION PURPOSE: Renewable Energy Group, Inc. (REG) is looking for a Sales Representative Biofuels Co-products to join our European Sales & Trading Team. The position will be located in Amsterdam and supported by the local team. The purpose of this role is to develop market intelligence and increase the value of REGs co-products from biodiesel production by marketing the products in Europe and seeking trading opportunities internationally. Assessing market potentials and developing new markets for co-products and other energy solutions will be a crucial responsibility within this position. This role will also support the Sales & Trading desk in managing front, middle and back office tasks as well as market and price analysis.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Market research: Develop a deep understanding of European and International markets for glycerin and other co-products, including buyers, sellers, plants and competitorsConduct research to identify new European and International markets and customer needsMaintain up-to-date understanding of industry trends and technical developments that effect target marketsBusiness development:Develop an effective pipeline of new strategic projects and customers while promotingthe companys products/services addressing or predicting clients objectives (for coproducts and other energy solutions)Seek new business opportunities and find new applications for REGs products in orderto increase the product value and develop trading opportunitiesEstablish proactively contact to potential customers / business partnersConduct on-site meetings and discussions with potential customers about their needs,processes and products being of interestClose collaboration with the US team for exchanging market knowledge, developingtrading opportunities and creating best solutions for REGs customersDevelop relationships with companies for potential strategic alignment and long-term  collaborationSales strategy and execution:Conduct day-to-day sales initiatives and maintain the current daily sales activities toexisting customersStay knowledgeable about all products and services and their commercial impact offered by the businessMaximizing the product value and sales volumes to existing customers and develop salesto new customers while focusing on customer satisfactionEvaluate product & service marketability in terms of customers technical & energy needsUnderstand blending economics and operations in order to provide a broader product baseto customersAct upon market view within given limitations for risk mitigationCustomer Relationship Management:Represent the company in conferences, fairs and other external or internal eventsProvide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support / claim managementSupport the setup of quality management procedures and measures for co-productsBuild long-term relationships with new and existing customersSales and Trading support:Support the Biodiesel Sales & Trading desk in the day-to-day biodiesel sales & trading activities and administration (front, middle and back-office tasks)Coordinate between the Sales & Trading team and other departments such as Supply Chain, Quality Management, Procurement, etc.Data and market analysis and process support for the Sales & Trading teamJOB REQUIREMENTS: At least 2 years of work experience preferably in a fuel/bio-fuel or commodity relatedindustry, with experience in sales, trading, business development, and/or projectmanagementStrong team player who enjoys working in an international environmentStrong entrepreneurial spirit, creative mind, and connected thinkingHighly self-motivated, able to drive for results with little to no supervisionGood communication and coordination skillsBachelor’s degree in Marketing, Economics, Business, or related fieldFluent in spoken and written English and German, other European languages are a plusProficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM softwareTravel required: 20-30%  Recommended SkillsBusiness DevelopmentMarketingMarket ResearchMarket IntelligenceManagementCustomer Relationship ManagementRecommended JobsSalesSales RepresentativeAtlanta,GaSales Representative, Atlanta,GaSales Representative, Co-ProductsRenewable Energy Group, Inc.Work From HomeFull-Time
